I'll dominate 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Former twice world title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's largest financial successes, consistently making massive paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
